Three Terrorist Groups Arrested for Planning Explosions
June 30, 2008 10:45 am Egptian News, GeneralSecurity services have arrested three major terrorist groups in Cairo, Qalyubia and Gharbia in a major operation since the arrest of the group accused of contacting al-Qaeda last year.
Security sources told al-Masry al-Youm that 110 suspects have been arrested while several others who have fled to some neighboring Arab countries are being chased.

The sources said the groups that were planning terrorist operations in three major cities are financed by leaders living abroad. They had explosive materials, weapons and maps of government institutions.
Their leaders were accused of propagating to charge the ruler of infidelity and of recruiting a number of Al-Azhar University students to carry out their plans, but they denied such charges.
